Clarksdale, Mississippi – app proudly recognizes three outstanding members of its Health Sciences team for successfully completing the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) 12-Week Professional Development Coaching Program. Dr. Willie Lockett, Mrs. Vondreal Whittington, and Mr. Tony Brooks have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing teaching and learning through their participation in this impactful program.

As a result of their hard work and dedication, the team has been awarded digital badges signifying their successful completion of the program. These digital badges serve as a testament to their professional growth and continued efforts to enhance student learning experiences at Coahoma.

The 12-week Professional Development Coaching Program launched through CETL was created to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-driven environment for educators and professionals. Led by Dr. Ouida McAfee, Director of CETL at Coahoma Community College, the program aims to empower participants to reach their full potential through a structured, supportive process.

"My goal is to create a space where everyone can thrive," said Dr. McAfee. "I believe that each participant brings unique skills, experiences, and perspectives that will enrich our collective journey. I’m truly excited to embark on this path of growth and development together."

CETL engages faculty as collaborative partners in student success through a variety of resources, including an all-faculty survey, questionnaires, and consultations. The center also provides a faculty resource portal that offers tools such as the Evidence-Based Series, app/Microsoft Series, Podcast Series, the CELL Newsletter, and Project Success Webinars, all designed to support continuous professional growth and innovation.

Initiatives like the CETL Professional Development Coaching Program further foster a culture of continuous improvement and academic achievement.
